Speaker 1:

Welcome to First Lead you, a podcast dedicated to building leaders, expanding their capacity, improving their self-awareness through emotional intelligence and developing deeper understanding of selfless leadership.

Speaker 2:

Hello America and welcome to First Lead you where we believe selfless leadership is essential. America is suffering a leadership crisis. Self-awareness and emotional intelligence is the key to developing selfless leaders.

Speaker 1:

Now here is personal growth coach John Ballinger.

Speaker 2:

Welcome back America, John Ballinger. With First Lead you. I'm here with my co-host, Mr Douglas Ford. Hello John, it's good to be back. We are back. Well, we're sort of back. Yeah, we're talking about being back, aren't we?

Speaker 3:

Exactly.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we're doing some intros into the season three First Lead you. As I stated on the previous intro, it was good to hear the music in our, in my ears, our ears, and to talk about what's next. With first lead you and Douglas, we have done a lot between the last podcast and the beginning of March 5th, which will be season three. When it comes to leadership development in a variety of places and people, it's just like man leadership is moving at warp speed.

Speaker 3:

Absolutely. I mean, yeah, we've done some practical work and trying to get ready for season three and some things that we've got coming that we'll announce as we move forward. We've both done some personal work and had some personal growth during that time. So I think it's going to be exciting time for our listeners and we have some really good content. As you mentioned last week in the short promo that we did, we've done a lot of work, you've done a lot of work to kind of put some structure to a lot of the things that we've talked about, and I think that's going to be huge for the audience. We're going to be able to kind of methodically walk through the structure of what First Lead U is all about and some of the key points of that, and we're going to be able to offer some resources that will help them along their leadership development journey.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, douglas said, we've both put a lot of personal development work in. We've challenged each other, we've sat down and pushed and pulled and tugged. But there was a period of time, for about three weeks, that I was really digging deep into this leadership development and and I think part of it was I was asking myself why is it not being embraced as readily as what people say they want? And a lot of times it's because we hit a you know, uh, I'd say a sore spot, uh a nerve, uh a wound, a you know, uh, I'd say a sore spot, uh a nerve, uh a wound. And we've seen people run pretty quickly Once we hit that wound of leadership development, especially when it comes to the personal side. We say personal development leads to professional growth and success.

Speaker 2:

But man, when you hit that that first initial wound of personal development, it's either hunker down and dig in or you know you may run off like somebody has hit you with some salt and vinegar or alcohol or something like that. So I look forward to helping and I and I'm hoping that the narrow focus that we've put on do these things continue to do these things. Some people are going to do them faster than others. The main thing is don't stop. It's critical that you don't stop, because don't stopping actually means you're resetting the clock or you're not addressing what you need to address.

Speaker 3:

Absolutely yeah. I think it's going to be a great season. We've got some new interviews coming up. We're going to start off with a bang with a good set of interviews. We've got several other interviews that we'll put in throughout the season and I think people are really going to enjoy the content that we have coming up for season three.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I look forward to and we look forward to talking to our audience and helping our audience learn to first lead. We'll see you next time.
